The season is officially upon us! With just a month to go I thought it was a good time to do a few gift guides for this year. I’ll be doing a His, Hers, stocking fillers, family, but to be honest I just started workin on ma very own WISHLIST of stuff that I’m gonna be spending money on …. fo maself! (And I know about a very special person that’s gonna wanna see this!)
I really don’t think this is the whole list… I love last minute unexpected unplanned gifts so… we’ll see I’ll go for a lot of surprises… fo maself! Anyway, I think these serve as inspiration for, not only things to get for yourself but also to, I’d say mostly girlfriends. As they’re my very own selection I’ll be able to give you more in depth details of why I really want/need this stuff!
This is the official candle season for me! I fell in love with candles and scents a year ago while leaving alone in Lancaster and I cannot live without them now!!! Currently I’ve been burning Pumpkin Pie candle from For Every Body, that I got at Taste of America here in Madrid, and a Vanilla candle from IKEA, that lights up a little starry lamp!
So for Christmas I’m really excited to get:
Fireside Treats from Yankee Candle. So as you can see this is NOT a Christmas or Seasonal scent, I believe this is in their yearly collection. However, I have went into the store and smelt it and I really love it, i really liked it for fall, couldn’t get it at the time but I’m still obsessing over it so I know that it will probably be the one that I end up getting. It smells of… fireside…. of course. I mean it’s a woody, firey scent. Picture yourself at home sitting by the fireplace, just chillin with your family, getting that warm cozy feeling, BUT… it gets better because you are either roasting marshmallows or having really really delicious sugar Christmas cookies (you can choose)!!! I looooove the woody scent but my favourite part is the sugary, sweet undertone, and the fact that it’s not the main scent, if that makes sense.
Two items for this category SO FAR.
Roald Dahl - Ghost Stories. I am soooo excited for this. When I first saw this book it immediately took me back to my childhood and I started reminiscing about the good ole times dreaming about Matilda, having nightmare about Witches and goind down to the library with my best friend in elementary school to read this… yeap… nerdies. Except that was the only time I actually wanted to go to the library!
The New York Times 36 Hours - 125 Weekends in Europe. I’m going on a 8 day trip to 4 european cities (London-Paris-Brussels-Amsterdam) and I am so excited I really wanna plan for the best as it is such a little time and this book is just perfect- and GORGEOUS!! Just look at it! ❤❤ Anyway I’ve always like Taschen books, I think they are great decoration for coffee tables and this is way too good to resist!

5. Advent Calendar
Finally, last but not least, I really want a personalized and cute advent calendar! My sister and I decided we would make one for each so that way we don’t know what’s inside!! I am almost done with mine (or hers, whatev) and it’s a great way to get you into the mood for Christmas, which is less than a month away! I found these DIY ideas on Pinterest and LOOVED them! I will be uploading pics of my adventures in DIY Advent Calendar making!! LOL
